The Naperville Renewable Energy Grant Program hopes to support more renewable energy projects within Naperville.

Each month renewable energy program participants make donations on their electric bills to support grants awarded for renewable energy projects in Naperville and across Illinois.

When the program does not receive grant applications for city projects, Naperville’s Department of Public Utilities-Electric buys credits for wind and solar energy within Illinois instead.

Eligible grant applicants include local government or non-governmental organizations such as schools, parks or places of worship. Their projects must create opportunities for learning, increase renewable energy usage and be able to be replicated throughout the community.
