Going online, a Portage resident can make a tax payment, search for city records from property sales to assessments or review the city’s financial security or public safety.
And those who have signed up are getting voice or text messages from the city about emergencies or other urgent situations, such as the recent earthquake that shook the Kalamazoo area.
