The rise of AI in smart cities is expected to be fundamental in making municipalities work better for us. But even when machines “do everything,” there will still be jobs for humans to do, according to the Cognizant Center for the Future of Work.

New roles and jobs will emerge, including IoT-expert Cyber City Analysts, Tidewater Architects and Vertical Farm Consultants, based on the center’s research. On June 11, 2019, Meeting of the Minds will host a free webinar featuring the center’s Robert H. Brown and Desmond Dickerson. The speakers will share actionable advice and guidance on how to navigate the Age of AI, algorithms and automation, and explore emerging smart cities jobs.

Brown is head of strategy Digital Operations practice and also helps drive the development of its intelligent automation strategy, messaging and go-to-market outreach for Cognizant’s Business Accelerator. Dickerson’s research focuses on the human impact of business decisions related to technology development and deployment.
