Jersey City, N.J., Mayor Steven Fulop recently wrote by email that the city has continued to invest in public safety as one of the city’s top priorities. Part of that effort is a public safety data initiative that provides insight into “where we stand as a city and the progress we have made,” he wrote.

The crime data helps the city strengthen community partnerships, including diversity recruitment, and anti-crime strategies, according to Fulop.
