MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD. -- Montgomery County joins cities like Atlanta Ga., Charlotte, N.C. and others to explore AT&T’s Smart Cities opportunities for city services. AT&T has partnered with Cisco, Deloitte, Ericsson, GE, IBM, Intel and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. to address infrastructure, public safety, transportation and more through technologies that make the Internet of Things possible1. Through the collaboration, Montgomery County will review smart transit applications.

As we plan for the future of transit in Montgomery County, we’re actively working with partners to build a cutting-edge system that will serve our residents for decades. This collaboration with AT&T and Deloitte will provide the resources to explore futuristic possibilities which would have been difficult to accomplish alone and builds on our existing internet of things programs,” said Isiah Leggett, County Executive of Montgomery County, Maryland.
