Georgia Pacific Foundation grants are awarded to charitable ventures in the areas they operate manufacturing facilities, with a goal of uplifting each community by improving lives through efforts that have the greatest impact.

The foundation focuses on four specific areas when deciding what type of projects to support:

#1 Education

Grants consideration is given to applicants with results-driven ideas. Past funding has been used to boost literacy, train teachers and introduce more kids to STEM-based careers. Past grant recipients include Teach for America, Literacy in Action and the United Negro College Fund.

#2 Entrepreneurship

Georgia Pacific Foundation grants have been used to fund educational and business programs that focus on real-world business skills, as well as programs geared specifically towards small, minority and women-owned business. Past grant recipients include Junior Achievement and the Atlanta Business League.

#3 Environment

Grants funds can be used in projects that contribute towards long-term sustainment of natural resources, as well as recycling and environmental education. Past grant recipients include the Alabama Clean Water Partnership, Keep America Beautiful and the Wildlife Habitat Council.
