$150K Outreach RFP to Assist ARC Workforce Partners

The Appalachian Regional Commission needs outreach technical assistance for its POWER grantees, which focus on workforce development in coal country.

The Appalachian Regional Commission is accepting proposals through June 1, 2017, from public, private or nonprofit organizations to provide technical assistance for communications and community outreach to ARC’s Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization (POWER) grantees.

The immediate scope of work includes:

  • Assisting participating ARC POWER grantees in strengthening their communications and community outreach skills
  • Expanding the communications and community outreach capacity of participating ARC POWER grantees, many of whom have limited staff capacity for these tasks
  • Fostering a peer-to-peer communications and community outreach network across participating grantees

The three-part project begins with a brief training session during at ARC’s Peer-to-Peer POWER Convening being held June 28-29, 2017, in Huntington, W.Va. Other tasks include leading regional workshops and technical assistance over the next several months.
