The State Water Resources Control Board announced earlier this week that Californian’s made a better effort at water conservation in April, cutting usage overall by 13. 5 percent, compared to April 2013 figures.
Most Solano County cities can take some of the credit for that, since all but two exceeded that rate, according to state figures.
In May, the state water board adopted an emergency regulation requiring a 25 percent reduction in overall potable urban water use statewide beginning in June. The order followed Gov. Jerry Brown’s executive order mandating the same thing.
