The Idaho Department of Labor announced a new micro-grant program in conjunction with the Idaho Workforce Development Council to improve technical training and to keep workers in Idaho.

The program has $500,000 dollars set aside for the state to help fund technical training for small businesses. Each applicant can receive up to $25,000 dollars in grant money.

Some of the requirements for the grant include: they must be located in Idaho and represent a community based team with businesses, education and other partners, and the community based team must provide a 100-percent in-kind match.
