A public transportation program that helps users map routes to their destinations is expanding into six Pennsylvania counties.
FindMyRidePA, a program piloted in York that offers detailed transportation routes to users, including travel times and cost, will expand into Adams, Cumberland Cambria, Dauphin, Franklin and Lebanon counties officials announced at a news conference Wednesday afternoon.
The system can be accessed through the internet on mobile devices and computers by visiting FindMyRidePA.com. One kiosk will also be set up in each of the counties, largely near Veteran’s centers, said Rich Farr, rabbittransit executive director.
The program, which was launched by rabbittransit and PennDOT, was started through a $2 million federal grant from the Veterans Transportation and Community Living Initiative. That grant was matched at the state level.
