FRISCO, Texas — GrantFinder, Lexipol’s grant assistance program, and Verkada, a leader in cloud-managed physical security, today announced a joint webinar to help Philadelphia-area charter schools access state funding for campus security upgrades. Unlocking Security Grants for Philadelphia Charter Schools will stream live on Thursday, October 1 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
The session comes as charter school leaders across Pennsylvania weigh how to fund physical security improvements through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) grant program, which has an application deadline of October 16, 2026. Drawing on GrantFinder’s grant-writing expertise and Verkada’s security platform, the webinar will walk attendees through:
- The PCCD grant lifecycle, key deadlines and eligibility criteria
- How to identify eligible physical security enhancements, including cameras, access control, panic buttons and visitor management
- What separates a strong PCCD application from one that stalls
- A practical roadmap for connecting campus security priorities to grant requirements
“Charter schools are often working with lean administrative teams and no dedicated grants staff, so the biggest barrier usually isn’t the need for security funding — it’s knowing where to start,” said Samantha Dorm, Grant Division Consultant at Lexipol, who brings more than 25 years of grant-writing guidance to public safety and nonprofit agencies. “We want school leaders to leave this session with a clear, realistic plan for the PCCD deadline, not just a list of things they could apply for.” We’ll also touch on other funding opportunities to enhance school safety.
