The California Water Environment Association (CWEA) awarded the city of Auburn and its operation’s partner, CH2M, both the Sacramento Area Section award for the 2015 Small Collection System of the Year and the 2015 Small Plant of the Year Award for the fourth straight year.

“The awards are a testament to the hard work CH2M and the city of Auburn put in every day at the facilities. Our goal is to serve the 12,000 Auburn residents, while exceeding industry, environmental and regulatory standards,” said Gregory Wiltfong, project manager for CH2M.

The city operates a 1.67-million-gallon-per-day extended air/tertiary treatment wastewater treatment plant and CH2M provides operations for the 80-mile collection system and its 10 lift stations.
