WASHINGTON — The third edition of the Fire Service-Based EMS tool kit is now available for review and download.
A team from the Metro Chiefs, International Association of Fire Firefighters, International Association of Fire Chiefs,Congressional Fire Services Institute and International Fire Service Training Association participated in the creation of the latest update.
The purpose of the tool kit is to better inform leaders in their decision-making and the design of service delivery models. It provides background information and resources to assist in dealing with issues regarding fire service-based EMS.
A new section, response to incidents involving violence, has been added in response of the latest threats against first responders while on scene.
The electronic tool kit contains talking points and direct links to documents and other resources, such as websites and videos.
