The Northeast Delta Dental Foundation, which is comprised of the Delta Dental Plan of Vermont, the Delta Dental Plan of New Hampshire and the Delta Dental Plan of Maine, is looking to finance community partnerships with organizations that put an emphasis on the oral health of citizens in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Eligible entities include non-profits, or government or academic institutions that are involved in one or more of the foundation’s stated objectives focused on oral health. Funds can be awarded in the form of contributions, grants or scholarships, at the foundation’s discretion.
The key priorities of the foundation include organizations that:
- provide educational programs enhancing the awareness of good oral health to at-risk groups
- preventative oral health care programs
- eligible clinics working to make oral health care more affordable for people in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont
- focus on the education of dental health professionals through scholarships
- research efforts that will improve oral health by enhancing the art and science of dentistry, address a health disease or issue
- improve the dental health workforce through scholarship and loan repayment programs
Grants are usually awarded for one year, and range from $1,000 to $5,000 depending on the complexity of the program.
Applications requesting less than $1,000 are reviewed and awarded throughout the year. Applications requesting more than $1,000 are reviewed twice annually at the Foundation Board of Directors meetings.
