DENVER – SunShare, a community solar company with headquarters in Denver, announced on Tuesday that 400 kilowatts of solar energy from two solar gardens in Denver will soon provide power to 16 city-owned locations.

The buildings will be powered by SunShare’s Community Solar Gardens. The gardens allow properties to access solar energy without installing solar panels.

The city facilities will remain connected to Xcel Energy’s grid and will receive solar credits on electrical bills. They estimate saving $6 million on energy over the next 20 years.
