Massachusetts’ Tech Hub Caucus is pushing public-private partnership legislation that would see startups pilot civic tech products and services in participating cities in the commonwealth.
Every year, municipalities in the Innovative Communities program would be expected to beta test at least one startup’s technology and then share findings.
Without the bill, currently before the Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies, cities might not be able to afford the partnerships.
