KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Our society has come a long way since the invention of Braille nearly 200 years ago. Today, some of the best tools used for the blind are smart phones and tablets.
Advancements in technology are helping visually impaired students in Kansas City. Students at Alphapointe technology camp are using tablets to learn things like how to read books, search the web, send emails and take notes.
The tablets were donated to the students through a partnership between Sprint and Samsung.
