At Pohakupu Mini Park in Kailua, a small crew is working hard so children can play harder.
“This is progress. We’re putting in a new playground every week for the next 15 weeks and they’re scheduling a bunch more playgrounds for next year,” said Troy Vickery of Goto Construction.
The company has been contracted by the city to refurbish 15 playgrounds across Oahu, and they’re hoping to bring a new one online every week.
The playgrounds are made with modular stainless steel components that are durable and guaranteed for 20 years.
