Lake Olmstead Park is not just a park to Pat Hall, It’s a place to get out and enjoy nature with her dog Ty.

“It feels so good for us both to be free to wander and roam and meet people and talk,” Pat Hall said.

Over the next decade Hall wants to see city leaders bring more and more people to Augusta’s parks.

“A lot of people don’t have yards and don’t have places for the kids to play,” Hall said.

The company hired to create the master plan is based in the city. Cranston Engineering group spent months listening to you and city staff and today they know what you want.

“They’ve operated as well as they could given that they didn’t have a roadmap for the future,” President of the Cranston Engineering Group Tom Robertson said.

The top priorities are hiking and biking trails and neighborhood parks.
