Oklahoma City Public Schools, the city of Oklahoma City, and three community organizations are combining efforts in support of the district’s strategic plan to improve student outcomes.

The partnership, known as the Oklahoma City Schools Compact, will include the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, the Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools and the United Way of Central Oklahoma.

It was announced at the Chamber’s annual State of the Schools luncheon attended by about 650 people at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

“Oklahoma City’s future success depends on today’s students,” said Teresa Rose, the chamber’s vice chair of education and workforce development. “We are creating the compact to ensure educational success in our community for today, for the next decade and for generations to come. This is the smartest investment we can make for the future of Oklahoma City.”
