GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT)- An all inclusive playground will be added to the Greenville Town Common. Trillium Health Resources presented Parks and Recreation with a $750,000 grant. All the money is going towards the playground. The facility will have wheelchair swings, double sized ramps, and other wheelchair accessible equipment.
Director of Parks and Recreation, Gary Fenton, said, “well it means obviously that we can create a playground for everyone that doesn’t have obstacles to play whether you have a disability or not it’s the place to be, and its probably going to be, clearly the best playground we have in the entire city.”
“It’s amazing to me because I’ve never been able to do stuff that other kids can and its like a dream come true to me,” future park user, Emma Shifflett said. “I’m so glad this happened.”
