During the Admissions Process
From the moment a prospective student requests information about MPA@UNC, they have access to guidance from a dedicated admissions counselor. Their counselor will answer any questions regarding application requirements, admissions standards, financial aid, or program details, and can even arrange a live virtual classroom tour.
Upon Admission to the Program
When accepted to MPA@UNC, students are assigned a student advisor who meets with them one-on-one throughout their time in the program to discuss challenges, opportunities, and progress. Students also have access to MPA@UNC’s student services team, which provides technical assistance and helps students acclimate to the dynamic online learning community.
While Enrolled as a Student
Students in the program are able to take advantage of a host of tools and services to further their education and career, including exclusive UNC library resources. Faculty members offer personal assistance and extra guidance during face-to-face, online office hours, and the School of Government’s experienced career services team even assist students in finding or advancing their career.
Graduation and Beyond
Upon completion of the program, students are invited to participate in the UNC School of Government’s on-campus graduation ceremony and UNC-Chapel Hill’s graduation ceremony. As an alumnus, students join the School of Government MPA Alumni Association and UNC’s global alumni network, giving them ongoing access to professional connections, valuable career resources, and event updates.
