Seven local government agencies in six states recently stepped into the winner’s circle to receive awards for websites designed by the online government innovators at Vision Internet. And the winners are:
- Goodyear, Ariz., City-County Communications & Marketing Association’s (3CMA) Savvy Silver Circle Award in the Digital Interactive -Overall Website category. With more than 700 entries this year, the Savvy Awards recognize outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships.
- Fort Lauderdale, Fla., 3rd Place and Boulder, Colo., 4th Place, in the Center for Digital Government’ s Best of Web Awards honoring city, county and state websites and applications from all levels of government.
- Arlington, Mass. and Atlanta, Ga., Digital Government Achievement Awards for Visual Budget Tool and The City’s Smart Portal, respectively. The Digital Government Achievement Awards recognize outstanding agency and department Web sites and projects at the application and infrastructure level.
- West Hollywood, Calif., Members’ Choice Award and Longmont, Colo., Members Choice and Pinnacle Awards, from the National Association of Government Web Professionals (NAGW). Pinnacle Award winning websites were judged based on team size, content, organization, design, performance and flexibility, accessibility, standards and interactivity. Members’ Choice Awards are presented based on voting by NAGW members.
