Dear Gov1 Subscriber,

The COVID-19 pandemic is the societal threat of our lifetimes. And as with most challenges to the health and safety of our communities, local government agencies are on the front lines, doing their best to help us weather this storm.

In this month's edition of SafeGov, we're highlighting how local parks & rec departments are working to enforce social distancing guidelines. But perhaps more importantly, we're shining a light on two of our most critical public safety roles — 911 dispatchers and EMS workers — both of which are being pushed to the brink by this crisis.
